Job summary

BDO Canada in Greater Vancouver is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Financial Reporting and Insights team starting January 2027, handling preparation of financial statements for Compilation engagements and supporting tax filings for diverse client sizes.

You will pursue a CPA designation through our ACT pathway while developing professional skills in a collaborative, inclusive environment that values growth, client service excellence, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed an undergraduate degree with a focus on client service.
• Pursuing CPA designation through ACT pathway to support career development.
• Demonstrated leadership and initiative to seek understanding.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for Compilation engagements.
• Prepare working files for income tax and information returns for various client sizes.
• Prepare corporate and/or personal tax returns.
• Build positive relationships with clients and respond to requests.
• Complete accounting analyses following established procedures.
• Communicate progress and issues with the team continuously.
