Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Taxation Director, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of all aspects of corporate income tax compliance and ongoing cross‑functional business projects. This will ensure that the company remains compliant with income tax rules and regulations across multiple jurisdictions. This role focuses on high-level management with both internal and external parties.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and consolidate the group's quarterly and annual tax provisions;
  • Coordinate and compile documentation for Canadian, US, and UK income tax compliance;
  • Assist the Sr. Taxation Director with various tax planning projects in Canada and overseas;
  • Participate in cross‑functional business projects;
  • Ensure that documentation and compliance processes are efficient while respecting internal control standards;
  • Respond to tax inquiries and communicate with tax authorities on a regular basis;
  • Support ongoing projects related to international expansion;
  • Liaise with and supervise external consultants on a regular basis;
  • Lead process improvement initiatives related to tax compliance and reporting;
  • Perform analyses and write permanent memoranda to document business decisions and their tax impacts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting;
  • CPA designation is a strong asset;
  • 5+ years of experience in tax;
  • Experience in corporate tax compliance, with a solid understanding of multi‑jurisdictional tax regulations is an asset;
  • Completion of CICA's "In Depth Tax Course" is a plus;
  • Knowledge of Vertex, Inc. is a plus;
  • Highly organized and efficient;
  • Business acumen, a passionate personality, and excellent analytical skills;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Sense of initiative and leadership;
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with Finance, Operations, and external advisors;
  • Ability to work in a team with other tax professionals;
  • Interest for process improvement and demonstrated innovation;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required to consult with multiple tax jurisdictions.
