Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Assortment Planner for our E‑commerce Department. This role will help define and execute the online product strategy at Dynamite. This role bridges brick and mortar and digital channels, ensuring that our E‑commerce assortment reflects the best of our core collections while unlocking growth through exclusive capsule extensions, expanded sizing, and complementary third‑party brands. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with product intuition and a deep understanding of the Dynamite customer, and is someone who can zoom out to see the big picture and zoom in to optimize the details that drive performance.

Main Responsibilities
Assortment Strategy & Planning:
  • Partner with brick and mortar merchants to extend core assortments into E‑commerce, identifying opportunities for online exclusives and capsule launches;
  • Analyze customer data, digital trends, and the competitive landscape to recommend assortment adjustments specific to the online channel;
  • Develop and maintain the seasonal E‑commerce line plan, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Merchandising Execution:
  • Collaborate with Buying, Planning, and Allocation teams to ensure the right product depth, breadth, and flow online;
  • Partner with Digital Marketing, Creative, and Site Merchandising teams to ensure that product storytelling, cross‑selling, and trend stories come to life;
  • Lead the setup and launch of online‑exclusive capsules and third‑party product drops;
  • Monitor product performance in real time, making recommendations to optimize pricing, promotions, and rebuys.
Business & Customer Insights:
  • Leverage site analytics, search data, and customer feedback to refine assortment strategies;
  • Partner with Planning and Finance teams to manage sales forecasts, margin expectations, and inventory investments for E‑commerce;
  • Present regular readouts on online assortment performance to senior leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Marketing, or a related field;
  • 4+ years in merchandising, buying, or assortment planning, preferably in apparel or fashion retail;
  • Strong understanding of omni‑channel retail, with proven experience in E‑commerce assortment development;
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, interpret data, and translate insights into actionable strategies;
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills (experience working with third‑party brands is a plus);
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner across Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, and Digital teams;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, creative, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec.
