Job Summary

As an E-Commerce Engineer III, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both our Salesforce Commerce Cloud websites and our React Native mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including business owners, product owners, architects, and other developers, to deliver seamless and engaging user experiences across all digital touchpoints.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain our E-commerce websites built on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform using SFRA and the PWA kit.
  • Work collaboratively within an Agile team to build out new mobile application features and maintain existing functionalities using Node.js, .NET Framework, React Native, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (OCAPI and SCAPI), and Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run functions and Firebase).
  • Contribute to a culture of growth through PR reviews, pair programming, brainstorming, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
  • Integrate third‑party services and APIs to enhance platform functionality.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability across both platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users or identified through testing.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our digital offerings.
  • Regularly contribute to the team's Confluence space to document ongoing changes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of software development experience in Agile product teams, ideally serving a large customer base.
  • 3+ years of experience developing applications using Node.JS, ES6, and SQL/noSQL databases (MongoDB, Postgres).
  • 3+ years of web development experience using jQuery, React, Vue, or Angular + HTML, CSS, CSS preprocessors (SCSS, Sass), and JavaScript.
  • 2+ years of Salesforce Commerce Cloud development experience on SFRA, including data model customizations, ISML template extensions, JavaScript controllers, and scripting, as well as debugging production issues.
  • 1 year of experience working with the SFCC APIs, including OCAPI, SCAPI, and SLAS.
  • Experience building RESTful integrations with third‑party platforms, such as payment gateways, CRMs, shipping providers, and OMS.
  • Strong experience with React Native for mobile application development.
  • Solid understanding of front‑end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Experience with back‑end development, including server‑side languages and databases.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration of third‑party services.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer certification.
  • Experience contributing to or designing a headless architecture using the PWA Kit or other headless frameworks.
  • Experience with other JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of E-commerce best practices and user experience design.
