Taymax Group is seeking a Trainer at the Ottawa Merivale Planet Fitness PE@PF program. You will design simple workouts, instruct proper equipment use, and help new members reach their fitness goals in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment.

The role requires 18+, a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and a Personal Training credential (IFA/ACE/NCSF). You will engage members, maintain a positive atmosphere, and assist with front desk duties as needed.

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Personal Training Certification from a preferred association (IFA, ACE or NCSF) is required.

Mansioni

• Familiarize members with the facility, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and motivating members.
• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including scheduling.
• Consult with members regarding fitness goals and provide motivation and support.
• Instruct and acclimate members to each piece of equipment, ensuring safe usage.
• Create bi-weekly updates with varied exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist front desk tasks: answer phones, check members in, sign-ups, tours, inventory.
• Participate in daily cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Respond to member questions and escalate to management as needed.
• Other duties as assigned based on club needs.
