Job summary

Orangetheory Fitness is hiring a part-time Fitness Coach at our Barrhaven location. You will lead high-energy, heart-rate-based workouts in a fast-paced group setting and help members achieve their goals. A fitness-certification and CPR/AED/First Aid are required to join our performance-driven team.

Qualifications

• Group Fitness and/or Personal Training certification and CPR/AED/First Aid certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate members through pre-designed workouts in a fast-paced group setting.
• Manage multiple tasks to ensure high-quality member experiences in each class.
• Help members set and achieve personal fitness goals and track progress.
• Collaborate with the sales team to guide new clients through their first Orangetheory workout.
• Create an elevated, personalized, premium experience for members.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment and explain heart-rate based training concepts.

Education

Here is more of what the role entails:

• Leading and motivating members through pre-designed workouts
• Working in a fast-paced group fitness setting
• Multitasking to ensure that all class participants have a high-quality experience
• Helping members set and achieve goals
• Working hand-in-hand with the sales team to guide interested consumers, also known as intros, through their first Orangetheory workout
• Creating an elevated, personalized and premium experience for members
• Understanding the science behind our workouts specifically, heart-rate focused training programs in general, and being aware of what the competition is doing
• Knowing how to use and demonstrate usage for every piece of equipment utilized in every workout
• Being a team player who is hungry to change lives!

This position will involve 10-15 hours a week of coaching, PLUS 2-3 hours a month of ongoing development and team meetings.

Group Fitness and/or Personal Training certification along with CPR/AED/First Aid are a must to be considered for this role.
