Job summary

A global scientific consultancy is seeking a Group Consolidations Accountant to manage financial reporting and compliance for a multinational group. This role will involve leading group consolidation processes and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards across various jurisdictions. Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in group consolidations within a multinational environment.
  • 5+ years' experience in financial modelling & analytical work.
  • Strong IFRS knowledge; familiarity with US GAAP & local statutory requirements.
  • Experience working with external auditors across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving & organisational abilities.
  • Proactive mindset and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own monthly, quarterly & annual group consolidations.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and local GAAP across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations, eliminations & FX translations.
  • Produce management accounts, KPI reporting & performance insights.
  • Support budget, forecast & cash flow consolidation.
  • Oversee payroll processes and related compliance.
  • Lead on statutory compliance and external audits.
  • Provide technical accounting support to global teams.

Are you a technically strong, detail-driven accountant ready to take on a global role?

Join us as our Group Consolidations Accountant, where you’ll be at the centre of financial reporting for a multinational group spanning Canada, Germany, India, the US, and the UK.

In this pivotal position, you’ll lead our group consolidation process, ensure compliance with international accounting standards, and partner with regional finance teams to deliver accurate, insightful reporting that drives business performance.

This role allows you to operate at the heart of a fast-growing global organisation. You’ll collaborate across regions, influence group-level decisions, and help shape the financial infrastructure that supports our continued expansion.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own monthly, quarterly & annual group consolidations
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and local GAAP across multiple jurisdictions
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations, eliminations & FX translations
  • Produce management accounts, KPI reporting & performance insights
  • Support budget, forecast & cash flow consolidation
  • Oversee payroll processes and related compliance
  • Lead on statutory compliance and external audits
  • Provide technical accounting support to global teams
  • Assist with integrations, acquisitions & restructuring activities
Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in group consolidations within a multinational environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in financial modelling & analytical work
  • Strong IFRS knowledge; familiarity with US GAAP & local statutory requirements
  • Experience working with external auditors across multiple jurisdictions
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with D365 Business Central a plus
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving & organisational abilities
  • A proactive mindset, commercial awareness & cross-cultural collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English; additional languages a bonus
