Duties and Responsibilities

The key job functions are :

  • Performing lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, sod laying, and fertilizing.
  • Assisting with pest and weed management using eco-friendly methods (no pesticides or herbicides).
  • Operating a variety of machinery including ride‑on mowers, push mowers, trimmers, blowers, trucks, and trailers.
  • Servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment alongside the mechanic team.
  • Caring for water features and assisting with irrigation systems.
  • Planting and maintaining vibrant flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
  • Removing trees, hauling logs, and splitting wood—must love a good sweat!
  • Handling seasonal duties like snow and ice removal to keep walkways safe and pristine.
  • Keeping work areas, equipment, and vehicles spotless.
  • Pitching in wherever needed and maintaining a positive rapport with coworkers and contractors.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the estate.
  • Clean criminal background check.
  • Physically fit—must be able to lift lbs (a pre‑employment fitness test will be required).
  • Willingness to work overtime, including occasional weekends and holidays.
  • A flexible, can‑do attitude with a team‑first mentality.
Experience
  • Minimum years’ experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or snow removal.
  • Comfortable communicating and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Experience operating equipment like bobcats, tractors, mowers, and trailers.
  • Mechanically inclined—able to assist with basic diagnostics and maintenance.
