The North Okanagan-Shuswap School District No. 83 is seeking qualified individuals for a temporary/casual Grounds/Snow Shovelling position in Salmon Arm.

This CUPE union role is 20 hours per week, paying $29.54 per hour, from November 16, 2026 through March 26, 2027. You will support grounds maintenance across district sites, assist with moving furniture and supplies, operate small grounds equipment, and follow supervisor directions.

Qualifikationen

• Grade 10 education is required.
• Six months' experience operating small grounds equipment such as weed eaters, hand mowers and chainsaws.
• Must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting.
• Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of grounds maintenance tasks under supervision.

GROUNDS LABOURER/SNOW SHOVELLING

The North Okanagan-Shuswap School District No. 83 invites qualified individuals to apply for our Temporary/Casual Grounds/Snow Shovelling position. This is 20 hour per week, CUPE union position, and the rate of pay is $29.54 per hour starting November 16, 2026, until March 26, 2027.

THE DISTRICT

In the North Okanagan-Shuswap School District, we serve just over 6800 students and 1200 staff in 24 through a variety of sites located around Shuswap Lake and the North Okanagan. WORKING CONDITIONS

The work will be inside and outside work. Travel to all School District facilities required, transportation may be provided to job site from the base site (Works Complex). Appropriate personal safety equipment is to be supplied and worn by the employee.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
