Job summary

Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited in Burlington, Ontario is seeking a Groundsperson to support trimming operations and assist climbers and trimmers. This role offers hands-on training, on-site collaboration, and clear paths for career advancement within a trusted team.

You will contribute to site setup, safety compliance, and efficient job-site operations while gaining practical arboriculture experience. Training and benefits accompany year-round, full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Valid provincial driver’s license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement is considered an asset.
• Willingness to work towards becoming a certified arborist.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Previous landscape/horticulture experience considered an asset.
• Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.

Position Overview

As a Groundsperson you will be working to support the operations above; you will play an important part in both site set up and assistance to both climbers and trimmers. This role will provide newcomers to the tree industry with a better understanding of what we do at Davey and provide the right individuals with a career advancement opportunities and training.

Additional Information

• Full time. Year-round employment.
• $18-$22/hour. Wage will be determined based on education, experience, and relevant qualifications or certifications.
