Overview

Supermarket/grocery store located in Winnipeg, MB. This role involves supervising a team of 5-10 staff, scheduling, ordering merchandise, and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Location & Work Conditions
  • Location: Winnipeg, MB R2P 1S7
  • Work Location: On site
  • Schedule: 36 to 40 hours per week
  • Shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour (to be negotiated)
  • Supervision: 5-10 people
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff, including apprentices and sales workers.
  • Assign duties and manage work schedules.
  • Hire, train, and arrange training for staff.
  • Order and maintain merchandise inventory.
  • Authorize returns and handle merchandise issues.
  • Sold merchandise and accepted customer payments.
  • Prepare reports on sales, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, stock shelves, and display areas.
  • Scan items and perform related tasks.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar retail supervisory role.
  • Language: English
  • Skills: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, organized, reliable, team player, dependable, initiative, judgement, multitasking ability, punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handle heavy loads, meet tight deadlines, and work extended periods of standing and walking.
