Job summary

Walmart Canada in Ontario is seeking a Grocery Associate to deliver friendly customer service, keep the grocery area clean and well zoned, and support stocking and sales activities.

You will help ensure the store is always ready for customers, follow food safety and safety guidelines, rotate merchandise, and adapt to evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. This role requires attention to detail and a dependable approach to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grocery department clean, organized, and properly zoned to be customer-ready at all times.
• Rotate merchandise regularly and remove expired or damaged products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Ensure merchandise is correctly signed and priced; follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, and labeling.
• Follow food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Ensure the department is fully stocked by stocking merchandise and picks, completing downstocking, and setting modulars.
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

What You'll Do

• Rotate merchandise regularly and remove expired or damaged products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Ensure merchandise is correctly signed and priced; follow established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follow food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Ensure the department is fully stocked by stocking merchandise and picks, completing downstocking, applying product protection, and setting and completing modulars.
• Follow all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Physical Demands

• Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail.

Pay
