Job summary

Sobeys in Canada is looking for an Admin and Systems Teammate who can deliver accurate, timely tasks and provide exceptional customer service while supporting store operations. You will carry out duties across inventory, pricing, safety, and reporting, collaborating with Production, Replenishment and frontline teams to keep shelves stocked, prices correct and records up to date.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Demonstrated initiative and motivation with a commitment to teamwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding and implementation of Store Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Previous experience in a grocery store environment is an asset.
• May be required to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Food Safety Protocols, SOPs, Health and Safety and company policies.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and presentable.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and awareness of seasonal changes.
• Perform department temperature and date checks as required.
• Update department inventory counts as required.
• Work with Production and Replenishment Teams to resolve inventory issues.
• Collect and file floor, sanitation and equipment logs from each department.
• Verify DSD invoices daily.
• Conduct storewide FIM spot checks and manage department waste.
• Handle HR scheduling tasks as required.
• Use pricing program and other computer applications for pricing updates.
• Verify shelf tags against computer files, warehouse prices and order books.
• Ensure shelf labels, signage, and displays meet standards.
• Prepare and forward various item reports.
• Train junior staff as required.
