Job summary

Qualifications

Job Description

Join our team at the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course as a Greenskeeper and play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and quality of our world-renowned golf course. As a Greenskeeper, you will work in a stunning natural setting, ensuring that the course remains in pristine condition, providing an exceptional golfing experience for our guests.

Starting Rate

Hourly: $19.91 per hour. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $21.99.

Preference

Preference will be given to candidates who are able to stay the entire season of April 8 to October 15.

Job Duties Include
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Cutting grasses with a wide variety of self propelled and push type machines
  • Smoothing bunker sand with hand rakes and machines
  • Setting the golf course for play
  • Labor intensive work in the form of digging, lifting, pushing, walking fast, and assorted tasks
Qualifications
  • Previous Turf Care, Gardening or Landscaping experience is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a 5 year drivers abstract dated within 30 days
  • Perform tasks under minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in grounds and landscape maintenance work
  • Understanding of the rules of golf
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
Physical Aspects of Position
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Lifting & Carrying up to 70 lbs.
  • Pushing & Pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending & Kneeling
  • Repetitive tasks and movements
  • Working early mornings, as early as 5am
  • Working in a variety of temperatures and conditions (snow, heat, rain)
