Job summary

Lufa Farms in Montreal is seeking a Greenhouse Aide to support plant wellbeing and the overall greenhouse appearance. You’ll report to the Greenhouse Supervisor and receive full training, including First Aid and certification upon hire. The role offers growth potential into plant science, admin, and management tracks.

Work schedule is full‑time from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Tuesday to Saturday through Nov 30, 2026, with a competitive salary and benefits after probation.

• Greenhouse experience required where applicable.

• Strong work ethic, flexibility, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Harvesting veggies.
• Doing crop work (clip, twine, deleaf).
• Perform crop care and plant maintenance (seeding, transplanting, pruning, leaf removal).
• Collaborate with Plant Science experts on biocontrol installations and maintenance.
• Keep greenhouse and tools clean and organized.
• Participate in weekend checklist rotation.

As a Greenhouse Aide you’re responsible for the well‑being of the plants as well as the general appearance of the greenhouse. In this position you’ll report to the Greenhouse Supervisor. Full training is provided, including First Aid certification and jigger certification.

This position has potential for growth: our Greenhouse Aides have grown into plant science, administration, and management roles. This is a chance to learn our business from the ground up.

This post will be from September until November 30th 2026

Responsibilities

• Harvesting veggies;
• Doing crop work (such as clipping, twining, deleafing, etc.);
• Participating in crop care and plant maintenance by performing routine tasks like seeding, transplanting, pruning, and leaf removal - ensuring a plentiful and top-quality yield;
• Collaborating with our Plant Science experts on biocontrol installations and maintenance;
• Keeping the greenhouse and tools clean and organized;
• Participating in the weekend checklist rotation.

Requirements

• Must be physically and mentally able to maintain cruising speed during eight hours of physical labour in a hot and humid environment;
• Ability to work quickly and precisely without making errors;
• Great work ethic, flexibility, and attention to detail;
• Must be comfortable working at heights.

• Full Time: 7 am to 3:30 pm (40-45 hours/week);
• Tuesday to Saturday until November 30th 2026.
