Job description

The Graphic Designer supports North American Retail and Foodservice brand marketing initiatives through the creation of compelling packaging, shopper marketing, and digital marketing designs. This role focuses on delivering visually engaging, regulatory‑compliant, and brand‑aligned creative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization’s customers and consumers across packaging retail activation and digital platforms.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Packaging Production: Design mechanical artwork for new items, product line extensions, brand conversions, and packaging updates.
  • Ensure all packaging designs meet regulatory brand and production standards while aligning with business goals.
  • Prepare final packaging files for prepress and printer release.
  • Review digital proofs for accuracy and manage uploads and approvals in workflow systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve packaging design or production issues by coordinating with internal and external teams.
  • Responsible for the artwork review process through the workflow portal approval system, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate with marketing agency partners and print vendors to ensure seamless prepress execution.
  • Develop and maintain brand style guides.
  • Create additional marketing collateral (e.g., POS displays, trade show graphics, digital assets) as required.
Shopper Marketing & Digital Marketing
  • Design and execute creative for shopper marketing campaigns, including in‑store displays, point‑of‑sale (POS), and promotional materials.
  • Develop digital marketing assets such as web banners, email graphics, and social media visuals that align with brand strategy.
  • Collaborate with brand shopper and digital marketing teams to ensure consistency across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Adapt packaging and brand creative into shopper and digital executions to maximize consumer engagement and conversion.
  • Support campaign launches with toolkits, guidelines, and digital‑ready assets for cross‑channel use.
Project Management / Communication
  • Responsible for delivering creative packaging from initial briefing through execution and production.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business objectives and support the development and execution of marketing activities that deliver strong results.
  • Must be able to lead and oversee packaging projects and timelines.
  • Evaluate and improve internal workflows to drive efficiency in creative production.
  • Maintain oversight of digital proofing systems; collect stakeholder feedback and approvals.
  • Proofread and quality‑check final files before release.
  • Coordinate with packaging agency partners to help manage workflow.
Qualifications
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in digital and packaging design, preferably in the food or consumer goods sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic or commercial art or a related field.
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong visual and conceptual abilities with a strong understanding of brand identity.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring pixel‑perfect precision in final mechanicals and print‑ready assets.
  • Ability to problem‑solve technical challenges while maintaining efficiency and creative integrity.
  • Experience working in high‑volume production environments, managing multiple fast‑paced projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of all print processes (offset, flexography, litho, rotogravure).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
