A leading sign manufacturing company in Burnaby seeks a Graphic Designer to create engaging visual content. The role involves estimating project completion times, consulting clients, and producing both 2-D and 3-D illustrations. Ideal candidates will have proven skills in graphic design and illustration, with at least some experience in user experience design. This permanent full-time position offers $36.60 per hour for 30 hours per week.
Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Industrial. Tasks: Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations. Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations in order to meet their communications needs. Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations. Produce 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations. Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials. Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials. Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication. Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives. Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements. Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides. Process files and paperwork.
