Job summary

Dawson College in Montreal invites applications for a Graphic Design instructor to teach studio and theory courses at a vibrant, city-centre campus with a multicultural student body.

The role includes regular teaching duties plus involvement in pedagogical days, departmental meetings, field trips, and student-focused activities, as well as other department related administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• At least five (5) years solid experience in the field of graphic design, demonstrated by a strong portfolio.
• Teaching experience at the College level is an asset.
• Excellent English communication skills are essential.
• General knowledge of French is an asset.

Responsibilities

Note: The selection committee may, exceptionally, recommend to the College that pertinent additional professional and/or industrial experience be considered in lieu of the stated minimum educational requirement. Candidates to be considered under this option must have completed at least the equivalent of a College level Diploma (DEC). Education superior to the stated minimum requirement may be substituted for professional / industrial experience at the discretion of the selection committee.
