Job summary

West Parry Sound Health Centre in Ontario is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a community-based care team. You will conduct assessments, provide consultations, and deliver treatments across a diverse caseload in collaboration with an experienced multidisciplinary group.

The role emphasizes client-centered care, professional development, and opportunities to contribute to evolving programs in rehabilitation and community paramedicine.

Qualifications

• Current license or eligibility for membership with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
• Valid G driver’s license, along with reliable transportation and appropriate insurance.
• Willingness to participate in a new role emerging practice area with community paramedicine.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to adapt approach to target audiences.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in health care teaching and a client centered approach.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software.
• Current CPR Basic Rescuer Certificate.
• Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre.
