Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring a Utility operator for a temporary assignment in Southwest Ontario. The role involves 12-hour shifts, typically Monday to Thursday, with compensation including $30.00 per hour before overtime, a $30 per day meal allowance when lodging is required, and travel and hotel accommodations provided as needed.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, batch oven curing, inspection for defects, material handling with lift trucks, and maintaining a clean, safe work

Qualifications

• 1+ year of manufacturing experience as a utility operator.
• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Forklift experience is an asset.
• Ability to follow production specifications and SOPs.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform batch oven curing, re-humidification and scalping of grain as directed by supervision.
• Set up and adjust equipment for production of a standard product.
• Inspect materials during production and report deviations.
• Transport materials and products using lift trucks.
• Keep the making department and storage areas clean and organized.
• Maintain equipment by oiling/greasing as required.
• Maintain records and handle clerical tasks.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow fire/safety rules.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
