Job summary

Balgonie, Saskatchewan-based Bunge is seeking an Entry-level Facility Assistant I to support daily grain and special crops operations. You will operate processing equipment, assist with receiving, storing, and shipping, and help maintain inventory accuracy with strong customer service to producers and internal teams.

The role requires flexibility to work 1st-3rd shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed. Prior grain experience is an asset, and a valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Experience in grain and/or special crops is an asset.
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate grain processing equipment.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Physical ability to perform duties in a grain facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate grain and special crops processing equipment, including binning, cleaning, drying, blending, and storing product to meet quality and shipping requirements.
• Document and report bin mixes, collect samples, and support quality testing and analysis.
• Prepare, weigh, and load railcars and trucks for outbound shipments.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation and product samples.
• Receive and record incoming product, including quality, damages, or shortages, and support inventory accuracy through routine checks and reconciliations; escalate issues to Facility Assistant II when required.
• Assist in evaluating product quality, including dockage and moisture under direct supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on processing equipment and service equipment used in product movement.
• Maintain facility and grounds cleanliness, ensuring work areas are safe, tidy, and compliant with EH&S guidelines and ISO standards.
• Perform other duties as required to support efficient and safe operations.
