Job summary

McGill University’s Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education seeks three Teaching Assistants for EDKP 206 Biomechanics of Human Movement. Positions run Jan 5, 2027 to Apr 14, 2027. Effective dates Dec 28, 2026 to Apr 30, 2027.

Each appointment is 50 hours for the term at $38.46/hr. Eligibility requires graduate status; background in physiology and biomechanics is essential; English is mandatory, French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate student (Masters or PhD) enrolled at McGill University.
• Background in physiology and biomechanics required.
• Anatomy background is an asset.
• Familiarity with video kinematic analysis, EMG, force plates and accelerometers.
• Familiarity with course content and English language proficiency (spoken and written).
• French language ability is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrations in class and labs.
• Assist other TAs with labs as requested.
• Assist students with group virtual projects and presentations.
• Prepare Q&A content from labs for MyCourse quizzes.
• Prepare and assist with Midterm and final exams.
• Communicate with graders to clarify exam keys.
