Qualifications

  • ProServe certification for Food & Beverage positions is required.
  • Completed a culinary program for Culinary positions.
  • Must have at least 1 year of front office experience for Front Office positions.
  • Experience in Housekeeping or Stewarding is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in housekeeping duties and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Prepare and cook food as required.
  • Provide front office customer service and reservations.
  • Maintain golf operations and turf care responsibilities.

If you are talented, motivated and passionate graduate student from a hospitality, tourism, culinary or hotel and restaurant management program, our Spring / Summer graduate student positions are your opportunity to relate your classroom study to the day-to‑day operations of Canada’s most breathtaking resorts.

Fairmont Banff Springs is now recruiting for the following student opportunities :

  • Housekeeping - Room Attendant
  • Second Cook / First Cook
  • Stewarding Attendant (Kitchen Dishwasher)
  • Golf Operations / Turf Care
  • Food Porter / Busperson
  • Host
  • Front Office Agent
  • Switchboard Agent

Successful applicants will be matched to available positions based on previous relevant work experience, area of studies and the hotel’s operational requirements. For this opportunity you must be currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Tourism, Recreation, Turf Care, Golf Operations or Culinary postgraduate program.

Starting Rate : $16.55 per hour - $18.93 per hour, this is dependent on the position.

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years.

Candidates must be available to start as of May 5th - October 15, 2026 at minimum or available for permanent positions.

Qualifications
Food & Beverage Positions
  • Must have ProServe certification
  • Previous Food & Beverage experience required
Culinary Division Positions
  • Successfully completed a culinary program
  • Previous experience as a cook is required
  • Must be able to lift, carry and pull up to 50lbs
  • Standing and walking throughout shift and exposure to kitchen equipment including large and small ovens, stoves, steam kettles, mixers, sheeter, fryers, rational ovens, steamers, tilt skillets, fridges and freezers as well as blast freezers
Housekeeping / Stewarding Division Positions
  • Previous or similar experience in Housekeeping or Stewarding is required
  • Must be physically fit and able to stand and walk throughout shift and lift, carry and pull up to 50+lbs.
Front Office Division Positions
  • Must have 1 year of previous experience front office / reservations
  • Previous Property Manager (Opera Cloud) experience an asset
Golf Operations / Turf Care Positions
  • Successful graduate of a Golf Operations / Turf Care management program
  • Previous similar experience an asset
  • Must be physically fit and able to stand and walk throughout shift and lift, carry and pull up to 50+lbs.
