Job summary

A leading technology manufacturer in Windsor is seeking a Tooling Service Call Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing tools and molds in the manufacturing plant. Candidates should have a high school diploma, technical skills, and ideally 3-5 years of Tool and Die Repair experience. Qualifications

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preference for technical or vocational school graduates in relevant fields.
  • 2 shot tooling, Class A polish and lighting tools experience preferred.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally on short notice.
  • 3-5 years Tool and Die Repair experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect tools and equipment to identify wear or malfunctions.
  • Set up and calibrate tools for production runs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with tools during production.
  • Modify existing tools or fabricate new ones for production needs.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and tool usage.

Proficiency in using machining tools
Understanding of tooling principles
Mechanical aptitude
Blueprint reading
Computer skills (CAD/CAM)

Education

High School Diploma or GED
Certificates or diplomas in machining, tool and die making
