Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Manager, Supplier Management to lead strategic supplier governance and drive value from a global supplier ecosystem. You will partner with business leaders, Legal, Risk, and Strategic Sourcing to optimize performance and mitigate third‑party risk.

You will shape contract outcomes across major spend categories, including Technology/IT, Professional Services, and Real Estate, while guiding renewal strategies and governance routines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field (Master's asset).
• 5–10+ years progressive procurement/supplier management experience.
• Proven experience with strategic suppliers, governance, and lifecycle planning.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder influence skills.
• Understanding of financial services regulations and third-party risk.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted commercial advisor to the business balancing value, risk, service quality, and supplier performance.
• Provide strategic leadership across key supplier relationships and contract outcomes.
• Build relationships with Business Leaders, Contract Owners, and sourcing partners to align opportunities and priorities.
• Advance best-in-class supplier management practices including governance, scorecards, and renewal planning.
• Partner to build forward-looking contract renewal pipelines and market-informed recommendations.
• Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, and risk, addressing issues with enterprise impact.
• Lead supplier governance meetings driving clear decisions and accountable actions.
• Deliver value creation through savings, cost avoidance, and supplier innovation.
