Overview

Join our Global Operations & Marketing Technology (GOMT) team! Collaborating with the VP, Tech Strategy and transformation; you will bring analytical thinking and a desire to learn and enable the execution of Manulife’s digital customer leadership strategy. The position is well-suited for someone who enjoys change, adapts quickly, and is able to navigate independently through complex processes. You’ll join a forward-thinking team of high-performing professionals focused on working together, challenging the status quo, and owning our future!

Position Responsibilities
  • Support the development and execution of strategy through providing transparency into progress on strategic objectives in various formats and forums.
  • Lead a small offshore team to drive the reporting and maintenance of financial and operational metrics; work with cross-functional teams to operationalize and maintain a comprehensive set of strategic and operations important metrics used to measure the success of our transformation and delivery
  • Develop reports and increase thought leadership on technology trends, including partnering with Strategy Leads in other BUs and Functions.
  • Support the learning and development approach and execution for GOMT team members by working closely with internal teams and vendors.
  • Work closely with the Global Data Team on communications strategy and execution across teams, including leadership messaging for internal and external partners.
  • Champion GOMT people engagement strategy design and execution, including the planning and implementation of global town halls, off-sites, team building workshops, conferences, etc.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven professional experience in strategy development, operating models, process engineering, change management, training, data analytics, including a post-secondary degree and/or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Computer Science program.
  • Commercial and business sense to enable prioritization and strategic and fact based decision making.
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills.
  • High level of proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, Co-Pilot, SharePoint, Viva Engage.
  • Experience integrating business and technology teams.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into business- and value-focused language; a key requirement is to communicate clearly and consistently keeping collaborators well-informed of progress and challenges.
  • Enthusiastic about people development, including team engagements, training, and development.
  • Advanced change management, project management (agile and waterfall), talent and training strategy and analytical skills for a variety of tasks.
  • Experienced in working with non-local team members from other global regions.
  • Remains current with emerging technologies across contact centre technology, MarTech, GenAI, automation, etc.
  • Must be willing to collaborate with teams in Asia in corresponding time zone.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and attention to details, along with comfort in assisting with administrative and reporting tasks as needed
  • Prior experience in strategy, planning or consulting is an asset.

Location and Working Arrangement

Salary range and location notes

Salary range is expected to be between $110,530.00 CAD - $205,270.00 CAD. If applying outside the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range in your location. Actual salary will vary based on local market conditions, geography and factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees may participate in incentive programs.
