Job summary

Flynn Group of Companies in Halifax is seeking a glazing foreman to lead a team of glaziers and oversee the installation of unitized curtain wall and doors on commercial, institutional and industrial buildings.

Daily duties include reading and interpreting blueprints, supervising safe installation, and coordinating timekeeping, materials, equipment use and safety reporting, with benefits under the union agreement such as dental insurance, retirement savings plan, PPE and tools.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising glaziers on curtain wall projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of safety practices and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for unitized curtain wall systems and other architectural products
• Supervise and coordinate safe installation of prefabricated unitized curtain wall systems, mirrors or glass products on walls and interior/exterior of a building
• Manage all installation, administration activities, including timekeeping, material and equipment use and safety reporting
