Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced glass installer in Victoria to determine glass types, measure and cut, and secure panes in frames across multiple locations. The role involves installing doors and windows and guiding apprentices, with shop drawings prepared as needed.

The position requires 3–5 years of experience, no degree required, and the ability to work at heights outdoors. Physically demanding work with climbing and lifting, at 30–40 hours per week, is expected.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• 3–5 years of experience in glass installation or related field.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Determine type of glass, frames and materials required.
• Measure, mark and cut glass.
• Position and secure panes in frame.
• Assemble and install prefabricated glass or glass products.
• Install doors, windows and other hardware.
• Instruct apprentices.
• Prepare shop drawings.
• Repair glass doors and other glass structures.
• Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment.
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
