Job summary

A local glass installation company in Burnaby is seeking a Glass Installer-Glazier for permanent full-time work. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and installing glass products, as well as repairing glass structures. Overview

Responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing glass and glass products, including doors, windows, mirrors, and industrial glazing. Prepare shop drawings, repair glass structures, assemble and dismantle scaffolding, and work at heights. Will train applicants who meet minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Determine type of glass, frames, and material required.
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass.
  • Position and secure panes in frame.
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products.
  • Install door, window, and other hardware.
  • Prepare shop drawings.
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures.
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment.
  • Transport cases of glass.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Will train.

  • Physically demanding; includes bending, crouching, kneeling.
