Job summary

A regional government in Whitby is seeking a Works Technician 1 - (GIS) to provide GIS data and support. The successful candidate will digitize and maintain infrastructure data and assist clients with GIS applications. The ideal applicant will possess a relevant diploma and GIS certification, along with skills in ESRI ArcGIS and Microsoft Office. A valid Ontario 'G' Driver's License is required. This position offers a competitive salary with a starting rate of $40.13 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience and training related to ESRI ArcGIS software platform is required.
• Knowledge of digital mapping and GIS technology skills is essential.
• A valid Ontario 'G' Driver's License and use of a reliable vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide data and maps to clients in various forms.
• Digitize and edit infrastructure data and drawings.
• Provide training and user support for GIS applications.
