A local government municipality in Lake Country, BC is seeking a GIS Student Technician. The role involves supporting GIS services using applicable software, data maintenance, web development, and responding to inquiries. Ideal candidates will be enrolled in a GIS program with plans to return in the fall of 2026. The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a GIS Student Technician based in Lake Country, BC.
The student will support the organization in its Geographic Information System (GIS) services. Using your GIS knowledge and skills, you will use applicable software to support the organization with projects and GIS tasks.
To qualify for this role, you must be enroll in a GIS program or other related discipline with plans to return in the fall of 2026. A valid Driver’s License is required. Experience with ESRI platform is required.
