Job summary

A leading electronic services provider in Ontario, Canada, is seeking a Mapping Technician to maintain maps within Ontario's Electronic Land Registration System. The ideal candidate will need a college certificate or bachelor's degree in Land Surveying and 3 to 5 years of related experience, demonstrating accuracy in legal surveys. Responsibilities include analyzing survey plans, entering data into GIS databases, and providing quality control. The position starts in-office and transitions to a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in legal surveying or GIS with an emphasis on parcel mapping.
• Demonstrated knowledge of boundary and title records.
• Experience working with public sector organizations is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, analyze, evaluate, and enter survey plans and title information into GIS database.
• Update spatial and attribute data in OnMap.
• Provide quality control and assurance checks of map maintenance changes.
