Job summary

SYSTRA Canada Inc. is seeking two GIS Managers for its Go Expansion Program. You will provide strategic leadership of the GIS function, aligning capabilities with Metrolinx objectives and implementing enterprise GIS governance, standards, and an optimized operating model.

You will oversee ArcGIS Enterprise administration, data governance, and integration with asset-management and engineering systems while mentoring GIS staff and guiding KPI-driven improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading GIS teams in enterprise contexts.
• Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise and data governance.
• Proven ability to drive GIS strategy and templates across departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for GIS, aligning with business goals.
• Develop and implement enterprise GIS roadmap, governance, and standards.
• Manage ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, security, and evolution.
• Establish data governance, metadata, security, and lifecycle practices.
• Lead GIS integration with enterprise systems and data sources.
• Oversee development of GIS apps, dashboards, and field solutions.
• Identify opportunities to leverage GIS, analytics, and AI to improve processes.
• Manage resources, budgets, risks, and stakeholder relations.
• Define GIS project management using Jira, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Monitor KPIs, service performance, adoption, and data quality.
• Lead change management, training, and knowledge transfer.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to GIS staff.

Missions/Main Duties

• Provide strategic leadership for the GIS function, aligning GIS capabilities with Metrolinx business, operational, infrastructure, and asset-management objectives.
• Develop and implement the enterprise GIS roadmap, governance framework, standards, and operating model.
• Lead the administration, architecture, security, and evolution of ArcGIS Enterprise and related GIS environments.
• Establish GIS data governance, quality standards, metadata, security, access, and data lifecycle management practices.
• Lead integration of GIS with enterprise systems, asset-management platforms, engineering systems, and other corporate data sources.
• Oversee development and implementation of enterprise GIS applications, dashboards, web maps, and field solutions.
• Identify opportunities to leverage GIS, automation, spatial analytics, and AI to improve business processes and decision-making.
• Manage GIS resources, priorities, work plans, budgets, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder relationships.
• Establish GIS project management and delivery processes using Jira, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and related collaboration tools.
• Define and monitor GIS KPIs, service performance, adoption, data quality, and business value.
• Lead change management, user adoption, training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to GIS Specialists and GIS Technicians.

Salary Range
