About the Role
Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for an Application Specialist focusing on enterprise business solution projects for the Public Works vertical. This position reports to the Public Works Service Delivery Manager, Business Applications and can be located out of any Esri Canada offices. In this role, you will support the installation, configuration, training, upgrade and support of core Esri technology, including the Cityworks (Asset Management and Permitting, Licensing and Land solution).
This role will be based remotely in Canada.

A Day in the Life of an Application Specialist at Esri Canada
- Install, configure and upgrade Cityworks and Esri technology including desktop, geodatabase, server, ArcGIS Online, mobile and web components
- Assist with migration strategies for version upgrades of Esri technology and Cityworks
- Coordinate and validate technical response and estimation for proposal submissions
- Work with clients to assist them during the implementation process of software
- Contribute to needs analysis, functional requirements definition, and business solution needs
- Provide demonstrations of Esri technology to prospective and existing customers
- Proactively pursue self‑instruction on all relevant technical topics
- Meet with customers to identify business objectives and/or problems that can be solved with a GIS‑based solution
- Provide database design expertise, application support and prototype development
- Provide quality training for Administrators and End‑users
- Conduct system and integration testing and support user acceptance testing activities
What You Bring to the Team
- Minimum 5 years’ technical experience with Esri GIS‑based systems including desktop, server, enterprise/portal, mobile configuration and deployments
- Experience with data structuring/modeling, application design and consulting related to asset management and work management systems
- Demonstratable skills developing documentation for system installation, configuration and maintenance
- Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL and/or Oracle Server)
- Experience analyzing and documenting user needs and requirements
- University degree in computer science, engineering, math, GIS or equivalent education and experience

- Knowledge of Maintenance and Asset Management practices
- Bilingual (English/French)
- Experience working with Cityworks or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Compensation & Benefits
At Esri Canada, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation. This role offers a base salary range of $84,900 to $98,000 annually, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
