A leading construction company in Edmonton is seeking a GIS Analyst to support highway maintenance operations by managing geospatial data and tools. Ideal candidates will have experience with ArcGIS, database management, and excellent communication skills. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the GIS Analyst supports the development, maintenance, and delivery of spatial data and mapping solutions used across Highway Maintenance operations.
This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and updating geospatial information to ensure accuracy and accessibility of data systems that support planning and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the Esri ArcGIS environment, including spatial data processing, field application development, publishing web layers, thematic mapping, database management and knowledge of relevant software tools.
In this role you will work closely with operations and field personnel to develop, support, and improve ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123 forms that capture daily operational activities.
As GIS Analyst, you will take ownership of the business unit’s ArcGIS applications, bridging the gap between the GIS tools and field operations, ensuring that the digital tools are user-friendly, reliable, efficient and aligned with operational workflows. This role plays a key part in supporting maintenance contracts by optimizing data collection workflows and enhancing reporting accuracy.
