Day & Ross is seeking a Manager, Driver Safety for Montreal, QC, on-site. The role focuses on reducing vehicle crashes and delivering professional driver improvement training, including defensive driving and pre-trip training, while ensuring compliance with Transport Ministry rules.

Responsibilities include overseeing Driver Safety Specialists, incident reviews within 14 days, and analytics on regional accident trends, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifikationen

• Secondary school completion required.
• Post-secondary training in logistics or business is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Aufgaben

• Achieve accident cost reduction targets by holding Driver Safety Specialists accountable for KPI’s including proactive and post-accident training.
• Review 100% of all accidents in region to ensure proper action and completion within 14 days.
• Ensure in-depth investigation is completed on specific accidents (off-road, jackknife, rear-end, intersection, pedestrian) and reviewed with the manager.
• Direct DSS activities related to carrier profile and accident trending for the regions they are responsible for.
• Work with DSS to control speed in their regions.
• Ensure all mandatory training including seasonal training is completed and develop strategy to help DSS complete training.
• Own camera management in their regions, ensuring cameras are fully utilized.
• Audit yard interactions to ensure quality control and targets with drivers.
• Do orientation quality control twice a year.
• Support during DSS vacations.
• Other duties as required.
