Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Senior Manager of Cloud Operations & Cybersecurity is a strategic leader responsible for the architecture, security, and operational excellence of our entire technology infrastructure. This is more than a traditional IT role; you are the driver of innovation and efficiency for the backbone of our company.

Responsibilities
  • Technology Operations & Infrastructure Architecture
    • Lead the strategy for our cloud infrastructure (GCP, Azure), ensuring optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and resilience.
    • Define and govern the architecture for key infrastructure components, including Cloudflare, API gateways, and network services (Meraki, NordLayer).
    • Drive infrastructure modernization through Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and ensure all components remain current.
    • Oversee IT support operations, ensuring all tickets are resolved within SLA and maintaining operational excellence through robust change management.
  • AI and Automation Strategy & Integration
    • Develop and execute a strategy for integrating AI and intelligent automation across the technology stack to enhance efficiency and strengthen our cybersecurity posture.
    • Champion the adoption of automation solutions, including GenAI, ML models, and no / low-code platforms, to reduce manual toil and accelerate response times.
    • Act as the company's subject matter expert on AI implementation, partnering with business leaders to identify high-impact use cases.
  • Cybersecurity, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
    • Define and lead the cybersecurity strategy, translating it into an actionable roadmap.
    • Lead the technical components of internal and external audits (ITGC) and ensure continuous adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Enhance cloud and cyber monitoring, and lead security incident response efforts to minimize impact and ensure effective recovery.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Management
    • Build and lead a high-performing, versatile team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.
    • Manage and prioritize the team's workload effectively, balancing strategic projects with day-to-day operational needs in a fast-paced environment.
    • Mentor team members across various disciplines, including DevOps, infrastructure, and system administration.
  • Vendor and Partner Management
    • Own and manage strategic relationships with key technology vendors (Security, Cloud, M365 / Gsuite / D365, Hardware).
    • Lead contract negotiations, performance management, due diligence, and risk assessments to ensure maximum value and alignment with company goals.
Requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or System Administration, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
  • Deep expertise with cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Cloud Run, Managed Instance Groups (MIG), Load Balancing, Cloud SQL, and Firestore / Firebase. Azure experience is a strong asset.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and managing compliance.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and lead a multi-disciplinary technical team.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Experience with ML services, or GenAI tooling is a major plus.
Assets
  • Experience with Cloudflare, API Gateways, and modern networking stacks (Meraki, NordLayer).
  • Knowledge of no / low-code platforms and their integration for business process automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., NewRelic, Datadog).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GCP / Azure certifications).
