Relevant directly from the Directeur, Opérations et Innovation en pharmacie, le/la Gestionnaire principal(e), Développement de l'exploitation des services pharmaceutiques de l'entreprise will assume a leadership role and collaborate with interfunctional teams to ensure that new platforms, systems and business programs are effectively integrated into pharmacies MediSystem and Pharmaprix/Shoppers.

The person will support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures, processes, protocols and work instructions related to systems used. They will also lead the evolving strategy, maintenance and continuous improvement of existing pharmacy systems, facilitating the relationship between enterprise systems support and Loblaw Technologies, while managing critical issues and updates impacting long-term care services (LTC).

They will also oversee the development of methods, lines of guidance and policies to ensure efficient service delivery and will ensure that all client issues are resolved satisfactorily in collaboration with Operations, Purchasing and other teams as needed.

  • Supervise strategic decisions affecting the scope of responsibility.
  • Act as business owner for improvements or modifications of existing pharmacy systems and for development of new identified systems.
  • Meet potential suppliers to evaluate feasibility, operational implications and workflow plans.
  • Coordinate schedules and development efforts between suppliers and key partners throughout the process.
  • Support creation of client and operational workflows, ensuring they are clearly and concisely documented.
  • Organize and lead testing and implementation processes.
  • Serve as SME for projects touching LTC pharmacy systems and current or future workflows.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure proposed platforms, systems and programs are feasible in LTC pharmacy.
  • Participate in business meetings and project work sessions.
  • Identify gaps and requirements to fill before project approval or implementation.
  • Detect overlaps between initiatives and existing pharmacy activities.
  • Ensure new processes are clear, consistent with best practices and guarantee safety and quality of care for patients.
  • Lead the relationship between enterprise support and MediSystem regarding critical issues and LTC pharmacy system updates.
  • Participate in regular meetings with enterprise support to discuss issues, fill knowledge gaps and identify learning opportunities.
  • Monitor and update support documentation to reflect current operational processes, and create new documents as needed.
  • Collaborate with Loblaw technology teams for LTC system updates: align operational impacts, review performed tests and identify remaining gaps.
  • Develop implementation plans and determine necessary resources.
  • Maintain continuous communication rhythm with direct team members.
  • Coach and support team members in skill development and professional growth.
  • Lead establishment and achievement of annual performance and individual development goals.
  • Delegate projects and tasks, ensuring tracking of progress and visibility of work.
  • Manage operational and technology budgets.
  • Support development, maintenance and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures and business processes related to pharmacy systems.
  • Actively participate in discussions about current and future processes.
  • Identify gaps to correct and collaborate with continuous improvement team to optimize processes.
  • Work with related teams to pilot changes, reduce operational risk and measure impacts.
  • Build and lead diverse teams fostering an inclusive and welcoming work environment.
Ce qu’il vous faut
  • Strong initiative, analytical thinking and solid judgment to organize, prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
  • Fluency in French and English (oral and written).
  • Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Order of Pharmacists of Quebec (OPQ) or another Canadian regulatory body.
  • Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience (advantage).
  • Solid experience with pharmacy systems (e.g. AssistRx, Kroll, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of technologies and their configuration/functionality in applicable systems.
  • Experience in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), test case creation and application validation according to business processes.
  • Advanced mastery of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent priority management and deadline adherence.
  • Experience in technical support management and identification of gaps in systems.
  • Experience leading workshops and transferring knowledge to colleagues.
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills to establish priorities with enterprise partners and business collaborators.
