Amazon Web Services (AWS) est en forte croissance et est à la recherche d’un gestionnaire de bâtiment au sein de son équipe d’exploitation de centres de données en pleine expansion.

Nos centres de données supportent une infrastructure informatique critique qui nécessite une alimentation ininterrompue en refroidissement et en électricité en tout temps, afin d'assurer une disponibilité continue pour nos clients. Nous rencontrons chaque jour des problèmes intéressants, stimulants et complexes. Key Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the data center’s critical physical infrastructure. Maintain high availability and performance while ensuring all work performed within the site is done to high quality without impact to internal/external customers and maintain service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with our Colocation partners to maintain AWS service level agreement.
  • Drive safety and security culture and compliance within the team.
  • Hire, coach, and promote team members. Responsible for team's career development and performance management.
  • Promotes healthy team culture and peak morale.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures.
  • Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion.
  • Act as an escalation point for all facilities‑related issues. Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
  • Utilize root cause analysis and troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
  • Respond to out‑of‑hours emergency calls.
  • Role may support more than one location/site.
  • May assist in the build out of new facilities and assist in projects to increase current facility efficiency.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and other basic administrative tools to perform day to day tasks.
Basic Qualifications
  • At least 5 years in a staff management role with direct reports, and over 3 years working in critical environments, particularly in the operation of buildings and equipment.
  • A solid understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems in data centers, including generators, transformers, switchgear, electrical distribution panels, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), automatic transfer switches (ATS), power distribution units (PDU), pumps, ventilation units, air conditioning systems, and computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units. Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and data trend analysis is required.
  • Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to provide after‑hours support as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally between sites and regions as required (approximately 5-10% travel).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, in French and English.
  • Due to the nature of the role that requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada, bilingualism French and English is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency practices and sustainability initiatives in data center operations.
  • Strong leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with capacity planning and data center infrastructure upgrades.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, ISO, TIA) and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and cost optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to make data‑based decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities and experience managing construction projects and familiarity with construction processes, permits, and building codes.
