Job Summary

Surrey Memorial Hospital and Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre in Surrey are looking for a geriatric medicine physician to join our team! Fraser Health is one of Canada’s fastest growing health authorities, serving over one third of the population in British Columbia. The Older Adult Service in Fraser Health provides a network of clinical services, including nine acute care sites, community Specialized Seniors Clinics and outreach sites. Our hospitals are affiliated with the University of British Columbia and offer opportunities for clinical practice, as well as teaching and academic research. North Surrey boasts a diverse community with plenty of parks, green spaces, and trails, and is well-connected with excellent transportation links to the rest of the region.

This is a full time permanent position (1.0 FTE) expanding outpatient geriatric services at a site with an already active Specialized Seniors Clinic in Surrey and inpatient consultative services at Surrey Memorial Hospital. There is no expected weekend or evening call. Remuneration is through the Ministry of Health Alternate Payment Plan fee for service and sessional model. The successful candidate will join our current geriatricians in Surrey Memorial Hospital and Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre in Surrey and contribute to academic and teaching components of the Service.
