Job summary

A leading elder care provider based in Victoria is seeking a Social Worker to join their interdisciplinary care team. The role involves providing a variety of psychosocial services to residents and their families while ensuring comprehensive assessments. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Social Work and be registered in line with provincial regulations. This position offers a wage of $42.27 - $52.81 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Social Worker under the Health Professions Act, 2000.
• Complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check within six months.
• Experience in conducting psychosocial assessments.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all newly admitted residents have a comprehensive psychosocial assessment.
• Contacts resident and family to set up an initial interview session.
• Establishes a rapport with the resident and/or family.

Skills

Experience in working with Geriatrics

Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting

Initiative in departmental activity

Education

Bachelor of Social Work degree
