Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. in Ontario seeks a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with required medical care and the College of Nurses standards.

You will collaborate with the Registered Nurse and direct Personal Support Workers on the unit. You will liaise with physicians, ensure timely communication of changes in resident status, participate in shift reports, and contribute to a compassionate, patient‑centered team.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred.
• Ability to supervise and guide Personal Support Workers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the RN to implement AgeCare policies on the unit.
• Liaise with physicians and health care team members.
• Notify physician of significant changes in resident status.
• Provide direction to Personal Support Workers on the care team.
• Participate in shift reports to update the team on resident status.
