Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience and knowledge of DSM-IV-R and the Mental Health Act.
• Valid Class G driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach services to older adults with complex mental health challenges.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive geriatric services.
• Communicate and advocate for patients and their families effectively.

Skills

Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Psycho/social and mental status assessment skills

Advanced proficiency in computer skills

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to communicate positively with family members

Education

Certification in PIECES, GPA, Montessori Training

Canadian Nursing Association Geriatric Nursing certificate
