Job Description

We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical Practice, reporting to the Practice Lead, to support the delivery of projects with a particular focus on numerical modeling and foundation design.

Your role
  • Perform advanced geotechnical analyses, including 2D and 3D numerical modeling using software such as PLAXIS, RS, and FLAC.
  • Lead and execute complex geotechnical design tasks for major infrastructure projects across transportation, energy, and urban development sectors.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports and provide independent technical reviews.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
  • Support proposal development and contribute to winning new work through technical expertise.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Act as a technical reference for geotechnical design standards, seismic analysis, and soil dynamics.
About you
  • Master’s or PhD in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering with specialization in numerical modeling and soil dynamics.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant geotechnical experience, including major project delivery.
  • Proficiency in advanced geotechnical software (PLAXIS, RS, FLAC) and seismic design principles.
  • Professional Engineering License in Ontario or Quebec, or eligibility within 6 months.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills, with proven ability to produce and review high-quality deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
  • Willingness to travel for short-term assignments within Ontario and across Canada.
