CBCL Limited in Bedford, Nova Scotia, is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our geotechnical team. You will lead field programs, analyze data, and support subsurface investigations across infrastructure projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and growth within a multidisciplinary environment, with hybrid work options and opportunities to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• University graduate with a Degree in Geotechnical, Geological, or Civil (Geotechnical) Engineering (master's degree preferred).
• 5+ years of relevant working experience in geotechnical engineering.
• A sound base in the application of geotechnical engineering to problem solving.
• Strong interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle required; and
• Ability and willingness to travel.

• Developing, directing, and implementing geotechnical field programs.
• Assisting with or carrying out various data analyses.
• Providing geotechnical engineering support for subsurface investigations and geotechnical analysis and design.
• Being responsible for product quality control with adherence to company standards.
• Developing your technical skills and sharing these skills with other members of your team.
• Assisting with various field activities, including drilling, test pitting, and inspections and testing services on construction projects.
• Participating in a team environment within and outside of the geotechnical discipline.

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bedford, Nova Scotia. As a member of the NS geotechnical team, you will be connected and supported by the division as a whole, with three (3) more geotechnical and materials engineering offices located in Moncton, Saint John, and Fredericton, NB.

Our geotechnical division specializes in geotechnical and materials engineering consulting. This division of CBCL has grown to become a leading regional provider of these engineering services to the commercial, institutional, heavy industrial, transportation, municipal infrastructure, energy & utilities, and large residential sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Developing, directing, and implementing geotechnical field programs;
• Assisting with or carrying out various data analyses;
