We are currently searching for a Geologist in Training to join our Canadian mining team. As a Geologist in Training, you will be a member of a multidisciplinary team working in energy and resources, primarily on metal, coal and large oil sands mining projects. Work will include various stages in the project life cycle, from exploration and site investigations, through conceptual design, construction, closure and reclamation. Our geological project work typically involves the planning and execution of complex field work scopes and the production of high‑quality datasets and client deliverables.
Applicants must be prepared to travel and be in the field for assignment intervals of 2 to 3 weeks regularly up to 50% annually. This role is classified as full‑time employment with benefits with an estimated 37.5 hours per week.
This position may have additional qualification requirements depending on work assignments. Additional qualifications will be defined in Project Specific HSE Plans.

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
