Qualifications

• Masters degree in Medical Genetics or Genetic Counselling or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current certification with the Canadian Board of Genetic Counselling and/or American Board of Genetic Counselling.
• Minimum of two years recent related genetic experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and complete patient care history files through interviews.
• Provide genetic counseling and support to patients and families.
• Liaison between referring physician and patient.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinics.
• Educate community on medical genetics topics.
