Job description
What You’ll Do
  • Development of a new Generative BI service
  • Work with leading industry technologies such as: Power BI (MS Fabric), Tableau
  • Platform engineering work and technology research
  • Collaborate closely with our team of BI platform engineers, to develop a practical solution
  • Support business and technical teams with expert guidance and consultancy in all matters relating to Business Intelligence, Analytics and Reporting
  • Develop metrics on platform usage & metadata analysis
  • Develop automation scripts
  • Identify and recommend performance tuning and optimization opportunities
  • Create and contribute relevant content and material to the BI CoE
  • Rapidly iterate on designs based on feedback, research, and testing
What We’re Looking For
  • Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology
  • Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Confidence in working independently or as member of a team
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities across several assignments and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to resolve any minor conflicts/issues and escalate to others as appropriate
  • Experience with Linux/Unix, Shell Scripting, Python/PySpark Scripting
  • Experience in working with Servers (e.g. Windows or Linux OS servers)
  • Experience with various cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with industry leading BI technologies (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience with Platform provisioning (IaC methodology), migration and upgrade
  • Experience with Devops process
  • Knowledge of On-prem and Cloud database
  • Proficient in SQL, or similar database query language
  • Knowledge on AI, LLMs
  • Prompt engineering
