Job summary

Aramark Canada is seeking a General Utility Worker to support dishwashing, cleaning and basic kitchen upkeep at a high security corporate facility in Ottawa. You will maintain cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and the work environment, follow safety policies, and contribute to a positive guest experience while supporting team operations on daytime shifts, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic sanitation procedures.
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Reliability, professionalism and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintain dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned.
• Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition; reports any issues to management.
• Perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks
• Assist with receiving and storage of food (Freezer, Fridge and Dry Storage)
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety, sanitation and storage
• Ensure security of company assets

This role may have physical demands including, but limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Security Requirement

This role is located within a high security corporate facility. To meet mandatory federal background verification standards, candidates must have:

• Lived in Canada continuously for the past ten (10) years.

This requirement applies to all personnel working on site and is necessary to obtain security clearance.
