The Division of General Surgery at Royal Columbian Hospital and the Fraser Heath are seeking an academically motivated and collaborative colorectal surgeon dedicated to shaping a nationally recognized center of excellence.
Beyond providing outstanding clinical care, we seek a visionary leader with a growth mindset who will drive regional program expansion through research, quality improvement, and innovative models of care. Ultimately, the ideal candidate must be a passionate educator and mentor who champions a collegial, supportive environment for medical trainees while advancing the future of colorectal surgery. There are currently ten general surgeons in the group, including subspecialty hepatobiliary surgical oncology, colorectal, breast, and trauma/acute care surgeons.
Academic opportunities: As a member of the Fraser Health medical staff, you will participate in the University of British Columbia (UBC) medical education program and are expected to apply for a clinical faculty appointment in the Division of General Surgery, UBC.
About Royal Columbian Hospital: RCH Hospital is a regional referral hospital and a level 1 trauma center serving over 1.9 million people. Located in New Westminster, 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver, RCH has 675 inpatient beds and new operating suites opening in Fall 2026.
